Frequently asked questions
Good to know before you book
Common questions about seeing Emma in Tauranga. If your question is not here, get in touch.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?
No. You can book directly with Emma. For ACC-funded injury treatment you also do not need a GP referral.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Get in touch if you are not sure which appointment you need.
Do you treat ACC injuries?
Yes. Emma is a registered ACC provider, so an injury from an accident can be assessed and the ACC claim lodged for you, no GP referral needed. See injury and ACC care.
How much does an appointment cost?
Fees depend on the appointment type, and any cost is explained before treatment.
Do you do custom orthotics?

Do I always need orthotics?
No. Orthotics are only prescribed when they will genuinely help, and you'll be told if footwear or strengthening would do more.
Do you treat children?
